Morgan's Room!

Today, I was finally able to get Morgan's room set up as I've wanted it to be. Her room is at the southeast corner of our apartment building and the sun hits it so hard during the day that it is always very bright in there so we've had problems with getting Morgan to take her naps in her room so we covered her windows with dark cloth (yuck), but at least she'll be able to sleep.

Happy Mother's Day!

For Mother's Day, we went over to Aunt Libby's house for "Thanksgiving dinner." Libby decided it was her day and she likes Thanksgiving dinner, so she wanted to share it with us! We weren't about to pass up that opportunity!

Mommy and Morgan were both starting to feel a bit under the weather, but Daddy got a pretty good picture anyway!



Mommy got this picture of Daddy with cousin Courtney. When Aunt Libby asked Courtney who she'd like to have read books to her before bed, Uncle Jon or Aunt Laura, Courtney picked Uncle Brad! We were all quite impressed. Then she cracked us all up when he stood up and stretched, and she said, "You're SO big!"

Cameron Park Zoo

Sunday, we went to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco. Mommy had been there when she was pregnant with Morgan, but Daddy had never been. Here's a few pictures of the day.

First, Daddy and Morgan really loved the big fish tanks. Morgan seemed to really like the fishys.



Next, there was a very playful otter swimming around in his pool. Of course we failed to actually take a picture of the otter playing, but Morgan is adorable none the less!



Then, Daddy took a picture of Mommy and Morgan by the giraffes! Mommy LOVES giraffes and loves how close you can get to them at this zoo. Isn't it cool?



Mommy is convinced this is the biggest lion she's ever seen. He is just huge, and very beautiful!



Lastly, here's Daddy and Morgan in front of a pretty waterfall. It's really a lovely zoo.



We hope to make several trips back to this zoo in the future!

Swimming!

It's been in the 80's all week in good, ole Austin, Texas this week, so we decided to go swimming last night. It was rather chilly still in our apartment complex pool, especially since it is shady most of the day, but we had fun having Morgan experience the pool for the first time.

At first, she wasn't so sure about this whole cold water thing:



After a few minutes though, she seemed to really like it.
